St Brendans College Killarney

Science Club takes place every Thursday in the Flaherty Lab Room 118.  We organise involvement in the Young Scientist and in SciFest each year.

Welcome to the vibrant world of our science club at St. Brendan’s College! Tailored for students aged 12-18, our club is a dynamic hub of exploration and discovery. Delve into the realms of biology, chemistry, physics, and earth & space through hands-on experiments that bring textbook concepts to life.

Immerse yourself in captivating experiments designed to ignite curiosity and foster a love for the sciences. From dissecting specimens in biology to concocting chemical reactions in the lab and exploring the fundamental principles of physics, our club provides a stimulating environment for budding scientists.

But that’s not all! Engage in friendly competitions that challenge your scientific prowess and creativity. Showcase your skills in science fairs and participate in inter-school competitions, where the thrill of discovery meets friendly rivalry.

The excitement extends beyond the school walls with thrilling science trips. Venture into the field to witness science in action, whether it’s exploring ecosystems, visiting research facilities, or attending science conferences. These trips provide a firsthand glimpse into the real-world applications of the theories studied in the classroom.

Join us on this exciting journey where curiosity knows no bounds, and the thrill of scientific exploration becomes a shared passion. St. Brendan’s Science Club is not just a club; it’s a community of inquisitive minds shaping the future through the wonders of biology, chemistry, physics, and earth & space.
